Online petition to prohibit for traffic study request
As anyone who travels Rio Vista Drive and FM 359 knows, it is very dangerous. Cars back up on Rio Vista Drive trying to make left or right turns onto FM 359. Cars driving on either direction of FM 359 are traveling at high speeds. Residents trying to make a left turn onto FM 359 are sometimes met with traffic coming into the neighborhood or oncoming traffic making getting through the intersection very dangerous.
This is a very high traffic area, and it is only a matter of time before there is a serious accident — or more than one — and people will be seriously injured or killed.
Therefore, we are asking residents of Rio Vista to sign a petition that will be forwarded to the Texas Department of Transportation for a traffic study to begin with hopes that a traffic light will be installed at this intersection. Please click here to sign the petition. Let’s make our voices heard and hopefully make the entrance and exit of our neighborhood safer at the same time.

About The Community
Rio Vista Homeowners Association is made up of the property owners in Rio Vista. The Association is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the common areas of the association, including the entrance and certain other amenities. Some of the services provided include the mowing and upkeep of these areas, taxes, special maintenance items, and many other expenses.
There are three (3) Rio Vista Homeowners Association Board of Directors. Directors are elected by the membership at each annual meeting to serve for a term specified by the By-Laws.
The Board is charged with specific responsibilities and duties as outlined in the Association’s Declarations, Articles of Incorporation and the By-Laws. One of their duties is to adopt a budget and fix the assessment rate on an annual basis. Each homeowner is obligated to pay this assessment, which is used to operate the Association. You will receive a statement for the yearly assessment in November. It is important to note that the terms of the Declaration of Covenants covering your property create a lien for the maintenance assessments. And failure to pay in a timely fashion may result in this lien being enforced and/or additional legal expenses.
We have included on this website, a brief summary page of our deed restrictions and an architectural review request form for your use should you decide, as many homeowners, to make exterior changes other than minor repairs and landscaping. We have also included a list of important local phone numbers so that you will be better acquainted with our neighborhood. If you did not receive a copy of the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions, please contact our office for information regarding obtaining a copy or you can reach us via email at: [email protected].
Sincerely,
